Diego dalla Palma Facials in Pretoria East

Prescriptive Italian protocols, one concern and one route, chosen after Sandra has looked properly at your skin.

Diego dalla Palma Professional facial at Sandra's Beauty Clinic, Die Wilgers, Pretoria East

Diego dalla Palma Professional is the treatment arm of an Italian house with more than sixty years behind it, and its protocols are built the way a prescription is: one concern, one route. Sandra keeps a range of them at her clinic in Die Wilgers, Pretoria East, which means the facial you have is chosen after she has looked at your skin, not selected off a menu before you arrive.

This is the option for someone who wants a facial that does something specific. Brightening pigmentation. Resurfacing rough, congested texture. Rebuilding skin that has gone thin and dry. Calming skin that reacts to everything.

Suitability

What can be treated

  • Uneven tone, sun damage and pigmentation
  • Congestion, blackheads and breakout-prone skin
  • Dryness and dehydration that home care has not resolved
  • Loss of firmness and definition
  • Sensitivity, redness and a damaged barrier

The science

How the choice is made

Sandra diagnoses first: skin type, current condition, what you are using at home, what the season is doing to you, and what you actually want changed. Only then is a protocol selected. Two clients with what looks like the same skin will frequently leave having had two different facials, and that is the entire value of a prescriptive range.

Your appointment

What to expect in the room

Deep cleanse and diagnosis, exfoliation appropriate to the protocol, extractions where they are needed, an active phase using the serums and concentrates for your concern, massage, a mask, and finishing products. Roughly an hour, and a genuinely pleasant one.

Results and rhythm

Immediately: clearer, calmer, better hydrated skin. Over time: pigmentation and texture respond across a series, usually four to six treatments spaced two to three weeks apart. After that most people settle into a facial every five or six weeks, which sits with the rate at which skin renews itself, and that rate slows as we get older.

Honest advice

Before you book

  • Let Sandra know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are using retinoids or oral acne medication, have had laser, injectables or a peel recently, or have an active breakout in the area.
  • Some protocols simply move to a different week, others are swapped for something gentler. And where a skin needs a doctor rather than a therapist, she will say so and refer you.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Do not choose one. Book a consultation and let Sandra decide once she has seen your skin under a lamp. A prescriptive range only works when it is matched properly.

Both, which is unusual. The protocols are active, but the treatment itself is comfortable and includes massage.

Mild warmth for an hour is common, particularly after a resurfacing protocol. Nothing that would stop you going out.

Yes, where they are appropriate. Sandra does not force extractions on skin that will react badly to them.

Hydradermie uses a machine and a current to drive actives in, and its strength is hydration, radiance and lift. These facials are protocol-led, and their strength is targeting one specific concern such as pigmentation or congestion. Plenty of clients use both.

No. You will be told what would help. Whether you buy it is entirely your business.
